Dark Millenium: New Trailer release

There has been a new trailer released for the Dark millenium MMO which is currently in production that announces the first playable race in the game: The Imperium. Now im sure most that have known this game was coming and had seen the teaser trailer had already guessed this, however it has outlined more the playable classes in it - Space marines, Tech priests and the Imperial Guard.

The graphics look crisp and amazing, and i really hope my computer will run it, although im assuming i will need to upgrade it to do so. Im certainly getting the feel of a strong PvP element from the trailers, alot of the areas remind me of the RvR in Warhammer: Age of reckoning, although i hope it is a much better game and is not rushed out like WAoR was.
THQ have not failed yet in their forays into the 40k genre, even way back in the turn of the decade with fire warrior - moving onto the legendary Dawn of War series's and the upcoming Space Marine. My faith is justly placed.

What will i play? well... like most im sure my first character will be a space marine! but i do like the look of the tech priest, and who knows what other races will become available, there were certainly Orks and Chaos in the first trailer and i may fancy a trip down a darker path. Having said that the imperium arnt really what i would call good guys either, there are no good guys in 40k if were all honest >:)

Four Dwarves and a Halfling = Fun Times!!

No, its not some wierd Sexual fantasy!!
I had one of my most fun nights on DDO tonight as i ran my first 5 man dungeon party with some of my old mates from my WoW days, weve all known each other for it must be about four years and it was the first time weve all been togther like this for a few months.
None of us are taking the game to seriously and were just having a great laugh chilling out with a few beers decapitating Orcs, Golins, bugbears and such like :)
Mind you having run a hard dungeon and been in it for going on near an hour and reciving a old shield, 200 Gold and a moderate potion of repair as my final reward from the chest after keeping the party alive for alot of the time i felt a little bit robbed!! But we all had to laugh about it.

Oglington - Nik (Ogi!)
Stimpidity - Stu (sorry Stu... we only really call you Stu!)
Neytery - Clas (Des/Minscy!)
Dargik - Lee (Darders!)

Cheers guys, big respect to you

Jump pack Chaplain - A Gripe!

Dont you just love it when the postman comes and get given a large box! its especially awsome when its for you and you know it has your new gaming order inside.

my Army Painter dragon red has arrived from wayland games and im really looking forward to trying that papa out, also in my 40k care package was my jump pack chaplain i ordered for my Blood Angels.

As you can see the model looks great with a very dynamic pose, just what u want from you HQ choice and the model has alot of nice little details. I especially like his feet which to me make him look very knightly and gothic, just as a chaplain should be.

Now...onto my gripe, its a pretty obvious mistake for them to have made while sculpting and i dont know how it got through to the final model.
The Jump pack does not line up properly, it clashes with the shoulder pad holding the chaplains crosius power weapon, now its not really a huge gripe but the pack has to be positioned (as you can see from the pic) slightly on the wonk. Its not a total disaster as it makes him look like his twisting slightly in the air, but even so... its a bit of a bad point on what is otherwise a very nice model.

Sanguninius smiles upon me!

So... i was due to have two days off work starting this monday with the view of using up some excess holiday and have a general chillout, do a bit of painting, and a bit of DDO.

Got to midday monday and the net mysteriously goes!!

I didnt get the net back until this morning, so it felt like i had wasted a bit of my holiday, all was not a total loss however as i got a little painting done, as much as i could without my dragon red spray arriving. However i needed a rest after 2-3 hours of painting assult marine heads but with the TV and net out (thankyou Virgin media!!) i was coming up short with ways to ammuse myself.

The Emperor and Sangunius blessed me when i was looking through my old PC games and came across the Original Dawn of war series. So, i popped it in and had a good couple hours doing some of the old skirmish maps i used to enjoy playing. I forgot how good the skirmish/multiplayer was in the original games. Now dont get me wrong DoW2 is superior in many ways but for a quick get into quick meatgrinder of a multiplayer game DoW takes some beating...

Army Painter - Dragon Red

After seeing the great
paiting tutorial of the BA marine on beasts of war and having seen it mentioned several times by Jawaballs ive finally decided to try it out myself. Im now looking forward to it arriving from wayland games.

Im hoping this will speed my painting up no end. I will post my thoughts on it as i try it out.
